Alexandra Hauser, a PhD student in the lab, has been selected as recipient of the “New Investigator Award” at the HIV Research for Prevention (HIVR4P) conference. The biannual HIVR4P meeting, that is organized the International AIDS Society (IAS), is the only global scientific conference with an exclusive focus on HIV prevention research. It unites interdisciplinary science on HIV vaccines, microbicides, PrEP, treatment as prevention and social as well as behavioural implications. This year’s meeting took place virtually on 27-28 January and 3-4 February 2021 and brought together 1,800 delegates from 85 countries. The New Investigator Award includes registration for this year’s conference, a 2-year IAS membership and a scholarship for the next HIVR4P meeting. Congratulations to Alex for this achievement!
